AGM Results

Athletics Wollongong's AGM was held on July 9th at the Tennis Club.

Thank you to those who were part of the organisational team of last season.  Particularly thanks must go to Life Member Phil Frkovic, who has spent the last couple of decades on the Committee, but is now stepping away due to him moving out of the area shortly.

Results of the election are below.  Note that we are missing two critical positions:

  1. Wednesday Competition Organiser - this person is responsible for getting the gear out for our competition.  They need to be consistently available prior to our meets so that we are ready to go at kick-off.  Either the same person can be responsible for putting the equipment away at the end of the night, or that part of the role can be performed by another person.
  2. Equipment Officer - this person is broadly responsible for the club's equipment: periodically check that we have what we need and that none of it is broken or missing; recommend new purchases; organise repairs if possible; mark new items with the club name; send a monthly email of inspection/actions of the shared items that are our responsibility.

Consider volunteering some help to continue providing a great service to our club's members.
