It's Athletics Wollongong's Christmas Special this Wednesday! (16th December)
On the track will be some handicapped races with prizes: the 60m Skins and 800m Chocolate Run. We'll also have a few pointscore field events to round out the program.
- the 60m Skins have the Club's fastest runner completing the whole 60m, whereas everyone else gets a few metres headstart so that they would ideally cross the line together. Runners last past the post are omitted and the remainder return to the start line for the next race in the series, with a low recovery to really test the fitness! This continues until there's only one left standing...
- the 800m Chocolate Run is handicapped by time. Each runner completes the full 800m distance with slower people getting a timed headstart. The club's fastest 800m runner may be giving some a whole lap start! First to complete the 800m wins...
Off the track, we'll have a free BBQ for members and their supporters; the first of Season 2020/21!

The weather is looking like there'll be a 50-50 chance of a little rain, but - at worst - you'll still get a free feed!
