AW is back for 2021!

Athletics Wollongong is back for 2021, starting this Wednesday, January 6th!

There will be some small changes to how we operated last year due to new coronavirus restrictions.

Wollongong City Council has just announced that masks are to be worn by those over 12 in "[e]ntryways, change rooms, waiting areas and customer service areas in our indoor pool, gyms and hall at Beaton Park." Remember to bring a mask to enter Beaton Park and have an electronic means of payment ready.
AW will still require all participants at our meets (inc. athletes, spectators, volunteers, etc.) to additionally check-in with us at the track, as per Beaton Park Management's standing direction. The QR code to check-in will continue to be located on the noticeboard at the rear of the grandstand. If you can check-in via QR code, please do so. If you can't, grab an AW Official to help you (Current regulations say non-electronic check-in should only be happening under unexpected circumstances).

We would very much appreciate someone to volunteer here as a "greeter": i.e. hang around the noticeboard 5:10-5:40pm to remind people to check-in and perhaps enter details electronically on a participant's behalf when they don't have a smartphone/data. This will help free Committee Members to set up the competition. It needn't be an ongoing commitment but something that could be volunteered for week-to-week.
