Registrations for Season 2020/21 with Athletics Wollongong are now open. To register now, go here: https://www.athleticswollongong.org.au/registration/
There have been a couple of changes to registration types:
Active Kids Vouchers are now fully integrated into the registration system. If you are a NSW Resident, enrolled in school, between 4.5 and 18 years of age (inclusive) and have a medicare card, you can apply a $100 voucher from the State Government towards sporting group registration costs; like ours! You need to have your voucher before registering: it can't be used afterwards. To claim your voucher go to: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-active-kids-voucher
Any athlete with an Open, Concession or Dual membership will receive a set of numbered bibs. These must be worn when competing at an ANSW event (NB - Athletics Wollongong requires neither numbers or a uniform to be worn at our own meets). Bibs are collected at the first ANSW event that the athlete contests. Be careful with your bibs, if you lose them you'll have to contact memberships@nswathletics.org.au to arrange a new set and you'll be charged $15 for the replacements.
The trialling member procedure is changing this season. Previously, prospective members could attend up to two Athletics Wollongong meets before registering; completing a Trialling Member Form beforehand for insurance purposes. This option has been removed by Athletics NSW for this season. Please read this News-Post for more information on how people can trial with us in 2020/21.
If you were a member with us last Season (including Duals), use the Renew button at the bottom of the Registration page. This is also the case if you were a member of another ANSW-affiliated Club last Season and wished to move to Athletics Wollongong this season
Any new members (or those returning to us after a season off) will need to use the Register button.
If you're after a mid-season transfer from another ANSW Club to AW, contact us: athleticswollongong@gmail.com.
At any point of the season you can upgrade your Community Membership into a higher level (i.e. either Concession or Open, whichever you are eligible for). The only cost is the difference in pricing between the two. Therefore, if you are unsure if you will compete beyond Athletics Wollongong's meets, or you're doubtful whether Championship events will go ahead in a format to your liking, it makes sense to register as a Community member now and upgrade your membership later, if need be.
If you have any queries regarding registration or Athletics Wollongong, read our membership guide The Red Book. If you still need assistance, please send an email to athleticswollongong@gmail.com.
